My first place entry for a campus-wide writing contest held by my university's Writing and Rhetoric Studies department. I was awarded 1st Place and $500 for an essay written in response to the prompt: What is Truth? late last Spring. The contest had us take a liberal arts approach and consider the question through a uniquely 21st Century lens.
I wrote about the March for Our Lives movement that had erupted in the recent weeks, Trump's cabinet and the unprecedented ability for social media to proliferate personal truth.

My personal essay for EFNIKS' "Diaspora" December cover story. I worked with an editor for two months on this essay - this is the final and published piece. The original pitch had me tracing queerness through my familial lineage.
